Welcome to the inn Gosauschmied!

Hospitality lived over 3 generations!

In the Gasthaus Gosauschmied you can dine in the spacious winter garden or on the terrace with a view of the Gosaukamm. In addition to Austrian home cooking and international dishes you can also enjoy our delicious homemade pizzas. A speciality of the house are the seasonal fish dishes! As a sweet dessert we recommend the homemade Kaiserschmarrn or various ice cream specialities.

Highway exit Golling - Abtenau, Rußbach, Gosau
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt junction, turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km you will reach the Gasthof Gosauschmied on the right-hand side.

From Linz:
highway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: at the Pass Gschütt junction, drive straight ahead onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km you will reach the Gasthof Gosauschmied on the right-hand side.

From Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Aussee, continue on the B145 towards Bad Goisern, take the B166 ramp to Golling/Gosau/Obertraun/Hallstatt/Bad Goisern-Süd, turn right at the Gosaumühle junction towards Gosau
Gosau: at the Pass Gschütt junction, drive straight ahead onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km you will reach the Gasthof Gosauschmied on the right-hand side.

From Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße to Gosau
Gosau: after the Pass Gschütt junction, turn right onto the Gosausee Landstraße, after approx. 4 km you will reach the Gasthof Gosauschmied on the right-hand side.

By train
Route Attnang-Puchheim - Stainach-Irdning
Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue by bus 541 in the direction of Gosaumühle, change to bus 542 in the direction of Lake Gosau

By bus (Sundays irregular):
Bus 470 (Abtenau - Gosau) direction Gosau, bus stop Gosau Abzw. Pass Gschütt
change to bus 542 direction Gosausee, at the bus stop " Hintertal b. Gosau Schmiedweg" and you will reach the Gasthof Gosauschmied.
