Almost 1,500 native and exotic animals - from the dwarf mouse to the white rhino - live in our near-natural and spacious enclosures. Against the backdrop of the impressive rock face of the Hellbrunn mountain, our visitors enjoy fascinating insights into the animal world and fantastic views of the Salzburg mountains.

We are happy to organise special guided tours! Dogs are allowed to enter the zoo on a short leash!

Night Zoo: From August 05 to September 10 2016, the Salzburg Zoo is open every Friday and Saturday to 22:30 o'clock - last admission at 21.00 o'clock.
