The southern shore of Lake Traunsee belongs to the market town of Ebensee, where the Traun River flows into Lake Traunsee.
With a length of 12 km, a width of 3 km and a depth of 191 m, lake Traunsee is Austria’s deepest lake and particular suitable for all kinds of water sports (especially for sailing and surfing). Im "Freizeitzentrum Rindbach" (Rindbach Leisure Centre), you can enjoy the breathtaking mountain view with the Traunstein (1,691m), also called the “Guardian of the Salzkammergut”.
