Fishing at the Krötzleich

The natural pond with around 8,000m² was fundamentally dredged and renewed in 2020, the inlet and outlet redesigned and the heavy vegetation reduced. The water, which is up to 3 meters deep, is embedded in the beautiful nature with natural vegetation and therefore also offers shady areas in summer.

Season: April 1st to November 30th
Fish stock: carp, white fish, pike, rainbow trout, zander

Fishing on the Alm

Fly fishing on the “white” river The mountain pasture of the Benedictine Abbey of Lambach stretches from where it flows into the Traun to km 8.54 (Haresau, Vorchdorf). Nestled in a scenic area, some of which are protected areas, along a hiking trail, there is a special opportunity to go fly fishing with a dry fly. Although away from direct road traffic, the body of water is easily accessible on foot. Only fly fishing is permitted on the Alm.

Season: April 1st to November 30th
Fish population: In addition to brown trout, rainbow trout and grayling are the main species found in the water. In order to be able to guarantee a sustainable development of the fish stocks, the Benedictine monastery in Lambach is part of the "IÖG" funding project.
Limits: For the annual ticket: from the confluence of the Alm and the Traun to the limit sign at Flkm. 8.54 For the day ticket: from the confluence of the Alm and the Traun to the table to Flkm. 6.6.
