From 18st to 24st of January 2026 people in Gosau will look up to the skies to see the scores of beautiful colored hot-air balloons.





33. Dachstein Alpentrophy Gosau

Every day numerous hot-air balloons start in Gosau district Mittertal in the Holzmeisterfeld near the gas station. In no time at all they climb up and decorate the sky as if huge colourful balls were hanging over Gosau. Be there and let yourself be inspired by the colourful variety.

The highlight of the week is the Night of the Balloons at the Hornspitz valley station probably on Wednesday, 21 January 2026.
