Konradfest finale in Strass: John Cage in the chapel - reduction as an experience

At the end of the Konradfest, the Chapel of the Resurrection in Strass becomes a resonance chamber for one of John Cage's most silent works: in "Hymns and Variations", early church sound patterns and radical reduction meet - a meditative listening experience beyond the ordinary.

Antanina Kalechyts, Annelie Gahl and Klaus Lang are responsible for the interpretation - musicians who are characterized by a deep sense of tonal silence and the finest nuances. Together they create a work that does not play, but breathes.
