Perhaps there is no musical peak that the bass-baritone Thomas Quasthoff has yet to conquer. It is no coincidence that the triple Grammy Award winner and holder of the Federal Republic of Germany's Order of Merit is among the most significant artistic personalities of the last 40 years.

In 2012, Thomas Quasthoff ended his career as a classical bass-baritone. Instead of enjoying retirement, he has since focused on his activities as a jazz singer, reciter, actor, lecturer, and presenter, and today, just as then, he enthusiastically engages with international audiences through diverse musical and theatrical programs.

Vocalist Quasthoff, pianist Simon Oslender, trombonist Shawn Grocott, and guitarist Wolfgang Meyer form an unusual group that must constantly reinvent their jazz arrangements.
