With the construction of the Kalvarienberg Chapel (Karler House, Fischerndorf) in Altaussee, stonemason Karl Köberl fulfilled a vow in 1881.

The place for the chapel was carefully chosen: "as one of the most beautiful viewpoints over the valley at rising sun".
