The Union

It's not the long tradition ... It is the remarkable development and honest work that sets this club apart from many others. Founded in 1997 by only 3 amateur riders, the URV Eberstalzell is one of the riding clubs in Upper Austria with the largest number of members. Eberstalzell may be a manageable Hausruck community, but it is geographically and infrastructurally favorable in the middle of the country. This results in the special feature that the members not only come from the local area, but live scattered over a radius of 50 kilometers throughout Upper Austria. A feature that speaks for the quality of the club, but above all for the riding facility.

The riding facility

The home of the URV is the Reichlgut of the Hörtenhuber family. In 2010, one of the most modern riding facilities in Austria was built here with great effort and great attention to detail. The wellbeing of the horses is always in the foreground. Regardless of whether it is boxes, paddock boxes or “HIT active stable”. Horse walker, solarium, extensive paddocks and feed, almost exclusively from self-cultivation, complete the "wellness operation" for horses. A riding hall (45 x 25 m) and an outdoor riding arena (60 x 40 m) are available for horses and riders. Particular emphasis is placed on the care of the special sand-fleece floor, which specifically protects the horses' legs and joints.

The tournament (national dressage & show jumping tournament)

In memory of the deceased co-founder of the association, Manfred Voglhuber, the URV held a national equestrian tournament for the first time in 2013. In the first year still traded as an insider tip among Upper Austria's riders, the "CDN-C" and "CSN-C" with over 300 starters, for amateur and competitive riders from all over Austria and neighboring Bavaria, are among the fixed items in the annual tournament calendar.
