The Kranabeth Hut, formerly known as the Naturfreundehaus, is located on the Kranabeth Saddle on the Feuerkogel Plateau in Ebensee at an altitude of 1,543 m.
About a 10-minute walk from the Feuerkogel cable car mountain station, it sits directly next to Trail 820, known by locals as the "Sommerweg," which is also part of the European long-distance trail E4.
In winter, the hut is right in the Feuerkogel family ski area. The run to Gsoll and the Gsoll lift, an 8-person gondola, pass directly by the hut. In total, guests have access to family-friendly ski slopes with 8 lifts.
From the hut and its terrace, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of Lake Traun with the Traunstein, the Totes Gebirge mountains stretching to the Dachstein massif, and across the Alpine foreland to the Bohemian Forest.
The Kranabeth Hut is also ideal for family celebrations and corporate events, including overnight stays.

First, you reach the Feuerkogel high plateau via the cable car to the mountain station. From there, you can see our hut slightly off the main routes on the lower left, right next to Trail 820, known by locals as the "Sommerweg" and part of the European long-distance trail E4.
From the cable car mountain station, a 10-minute walk leads directly to our hut.
