The Narcissus Festival - the largest flower festival in Austria takes place from May 28 to May 31, 2026 in the Ausseerland Salzkammergut.
A festival for young and old
The 66th Daffodil Festival will take place from May 28 to May 31, 2026 and promises to dazzle everyone with a colorful program. There will also be beloved events such as the Children's May Dance and the Fashion Show – the special presentation of local craftspeople. The vintage car meeting, the brass band star march, and the daffodil night in Bad Aussee as well as guided walks through daffodil fields are also highlights.
During the opening event on May 28, 2026 the new majorettes will be introduced, elected, and crowned.
The daffodil parade will take place on May 31, 2026 in Bad Aussee. There, the artistic daffodil figures will be presented on the streets.

The Daffodil Festival will take place for the 65th time from May 29 to June 1, 2025 in the Ausseerland Salzkammergut region. The organizer is the Daffodil Festival Association. The association was founded in 1983 for home and monument preservation in Ausseerland. Since January 2019, Ing. Rudolf Grill has been the chairman of the association. He and all association officials perform their duties on a voluntary basis. 3,000 helpers from the region are involved in the preparations for the festival. The Daffodil Festival has significant economic and tourism importance for the Ausseerland Salzkammergut region in spring.
